The Obagi Blue Peel System is best for patients who want a fast procedure with dramatic results. The in office procedure last less than one hour. Obagi Blue Peel is an effective treatment for:

What to Expect

The Obagi Blue Peel is a quick and simple procedure that does not typically require sedation. Application typically to the face and neck takes about 20 minutes, depending on the number of coats applied. The patients can expect a burning sensation that lasts only a few minutes and a bluish tint to their skin that usually washes off in 12 to 24 hours.

Following the procedure, patients will experience light swelling. Within two to three days, their skin will begin to peel. This peeling continues over the next several days. By the seventh to tenth day, their skin should be healed and start looking younger and healthier.

Once the skin has completely recovered and is finished peeling,  patients will notice a visible improvement in their complexion. Their skin's appearance will continue to improve for the next four to six weeks, becoming firmer, clearer, smoother, healthier and more youthful looking.

Pre/Post Obagi Blue Peel

The Obagi Blue Peel is used in conjunction with the Obagi Nu-Derm System to enhance the effects of the peel and to sustain healthier, younger-looking skin.

For best results, patients should use the Obagi Nu-Derm System 6 to 12 weeks before the procedure and then continue back on the Obagi Nu-Derm System once skin is healed after the procedure.


WARNINGS: The procedure for and use of TCA can only be performed by a Physician or if permitted by law, a properly trained specialist working under a Physician’s supervision. Proper medical knowledge is essential to the performance of any TCA peel.

Glycolic Acid Peel $75

Glyocolic works by loosening the glue-like substances that hold the layers of skin together. The tight binding of these dead cells makes the layers thick which then results in dry, rough scaling skin. When glycolic acid is applied, this glue becomes loosened and the thickened skin is sloughed away. This process leaves the newly revealed skin with a smoother texture and a healthier appearance. Research has shown that repeated applications of glycolic acid may help prevent re-thickening and thereby control dry skin, acne, age spots and maintain a smooth surface in skin prone to superficial wrinkling and fissuring.
